The Island of the Birds is an ideal place for ecotourism as well as for the fans of photography, it is a great variety of bird species such as parrots, owls, cavalry hawks among some to mention.
Bacalar residents, accompanied by foreigners and some service providers in alternative tourism, ecotourism among others who are in favor of the care of the environment and protection of the different species of birds that live there, were given the task of placing notices around the island to limit the proximity of the boats and in this way help these species continue with their reproduction and care.
Magic Bacalar joins this sustainable way of life offering friendly services to nature in the same way, making our visitors aware of respecting the natural environment, so that future generations can learn about the wonderfulness of Bacalar. It could be achieved through tours to sailboats and kayaks, without use of engines and with due respect to nature.
